Meaning & scoring

How rare is One in a Krillion?

It is the highest tier in the public scoring scale, above Deep Cut at 85 points and Rare at 60. It describes the score awarded to an accepted answer for a particular question.

The name is not a measured "one in a million" probability. A reveal lists accepted answers and their scores; it does not establish how many people chose each one. An unfamiliar answer is not automatically worth 100 points.

For a full explanation of the lower tiers, including Too Clever, see the Krillion rarity tiers guide.

Choosing an answer

Aim for 100 points without losing a valid answer

Start with the exact category

A capital, a largest city and a country are different answer types. Keep the prompt's restrictions in mind before deciding a name is rare enough to try.

Recall a few candidates

Think of a familiar fallback, then look for a specific alternative you know well. For a place question, work through regions instead of guessing an obscure spelling.

Review the same question

After a round, use answer search or the daily archive to compare accepted spellings and recorded scores. A high score in one prompt does not carry over automatically.

A correct lower-tier answer can still be useful. Chasing an uncertain name does not guarantee a top-tier score. For a run without today's answer spoilers, start with Daily Dive hints.

Two different games

One in a Krillion game or Krillion Daily Dive?

Krillion at krillion.io is the daily rare-answer trivia game. Players answer seven category prompts, and One in a Krillion is its 100-point answer tier. Read the Krillion game overview for the format and available modes.

DigiPen's One in a Krillion is a separate action game about King Krilliam leading swarms of krill. Its Steam listing is unrelated to Daily Dive answer scores. This page is an independent guide to the trivia game.

One in a Krillion questions

What does One in a Krillion mean in the Daily Dive?

It is the highest answer rarity tier in Krillion, worth 100 points for one accepted answer. At 10 metres per point, that answer adds 1,000 metres to your dive.

How rare is One in a Krillion?

It is a top-tier score label, not a published probability. The public answer snapshot does not establish that exactly one in a million players chose an answer, and this site does not measure live player-choice rates.

Is the One in a Krillion game on Steam the same as Daily Dive?

No. One in a Krillion is also the title of a separate action game listed by DigiPen. Krillion at krillion.io is the rare-answer trivia game with the Daily Dive. This guide covers the trivia scoring tier.

Does a 100-point answer always score 100?

No. Check the exact question, game and snapshot date. A spelling or score accepted for one prompt does not guarantee the same result for another prompt or a later version of the official game.

Is 100 points the maximum score for the whole game?

It is the maximum for one answer. Seven 100-point answers make a perfect Daily Dive: 700 points, or 7,000 metres.
